Coronavirus – The latest updates from T C Smith Solicitors
2020 March 19 by
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PANDEMIC
We here at T C Smith Solicitors LLP would like to reassure our clients that they will be fully supported, wherever possible, during the ongoing Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak.
We understand your concerns and want to assure you that we have plans in place to continue to provide the best service and assistance where we can.
As you would expect, we are holding regular meetings to keep abreast of the evolving situation and have already put in place detailed plans to ensure business continuity. Nevertheless, it would be naive of us to think that this developing situation will have no impact.
We have been planning for some time how we can best mitigate the impact of Covid-19 and have been following the recommendations of Government along with Public Health England. However, as a result of the most recent announcements, we have decided to put in place further measures that we know will affect our usual relations with clients over the coming weeks.
Home working (updated 24.03.2020)
Staff presence at our offices will now be at a bare minimum for ongoing essential business needs only. Most of our staff are now working from home in accordance with Government requirements. We will do all that we can to maintain our level of work and contact with you so that any disruption is minimised.
Where we take this action please be assured that the security and confidentiality of your information will not be compromised.
Contact
You should continue to contact us – preferably by telephone or email. Our contingency plans will ensure that that the message gets to the right person. Click on the ‘People‘ section in our website for more information.
Travel
In order to reduce the chance of passing on any infection we have cancelled all non-essential visits and will make alternative arrangements, which could include telephone meetings, conference calls or similar. Where this is acceptable, we will try to use email rather than post. Where documents need to be signed then we will discuss the best methods of achieving this.
We will continue to regularly assess the emerging situation and follow directives from the Government. Due to the uncertainty ahead, if there are any documents that you require us to work on in the near future, we would recommend you deliver these to our offices as soon as you are able.
If you have any concerns or queries regarding the above please get in touch. We will, of course, do all that we can to assist you at this difficult time – and we would thank you in turn for your continued support. Keep safe.
